We’re always looking for new and better ways to support our pupils, and we’re excited to share some recent developments that are making a real difference.
By using new tools and approaches combined with our full range of support services, we can ensure each child and young person gets the most effective support tailored to their needs, helping them thrive in every possible way.
Introducing QTrobot
QTrobot is an innovative interactive tool, created to make learning more enjoyable and help autistic children and young people build valuable social and life skills.
This friendly robot is both fun and engaging, helping children stay focused and feel more relaxed, which leads to better learning. QTrobot acts as a helpful “third partner” in the classroom, working alongside the teacher and the child. It asks questions and responds to the child’s selection on a tablet, with verbal and visual prompts, celebrating the correct responses with simple physical movements and facial expressions making learning feel positive and rewarding.

QTrobot – the friendly face of technologyImmersive Classrooms
We are enhancing learning opportunities for our pupils with the introduction of a new immersive classroom. This latest digital learning innovation offers pupils the opportunity to explore and engage with an interactive virtual environment in a three dimensional space.
The classroom allows teachers to take the children beyond the school walls, to places and experiences that they may not otherwise ordinarily encounter, in an environment where they feel safe.
We have trialled the technology in a number of locations and are delighted to be rolling them out into all our schools.
